Hitting the Cultural Highlights with the application of God’s Word.

Slavery is bad, right? But the U.S. wasn't the only nation that practiced it. Britain, France, Portugal, Spain. The Middle East, particularly Muslims, have practiced it for over a millennia.

Was not Joseph sold to Ishmaelites? But no one talks about human trafficking. None of the haters are doing a thing about it. Giving money to organizations so they can build safehouses? Uh-uh.

Letting our local city council and elected officials know how concerned we are, we want legislation making human trafficking very harshly punished for those who practice it in order to scare would be criminals into not committing it. Nope.

In the Talmud, those who kidnap people, whether they have them with them, or sell them, are put to death. How much human trafficking do you think would go on if that were the case? It may seem extreme. But what those poor young women and young men and children have to endure is so extremely horrible I don't have a word or words to express the pain and trauma they undergo.

And this happens so people can make money off it. In the name of Mammon, am I right? Selling 'bodies and souls of men'

Reparations. Okay. I'm down. If we start with the American Indians. Except we would bankrupt ourselves over the monumental emotional trauma alone. Taking kids from their tribes and 're-educating' them in white schools (many of them Catholic, not trying to point fingers though). Wiping out 90% of the population with microbes we brought from Europe. Land stealing, killing so much of their food supply and changing their way of life. Except they probably wouldn't take the money. Because they are a proud people. They'd rather not have enough food than abundance of shame. We can never pay the American Indians for what our ancestors did. We should grieve what happend to them.

However, God's word says that men aren't to punished for the sins of their fathers, nor fathers for their children. 'The soul who sins will die.' So reparations as presented is faulty logic and anti-biblical.

That's my real point. All of us have had antagonists in our stories, particularly growing up. But most young Black men are killed by young Black men, not white cops. More than 600 in a city in a year on average. But the news doesn't report on that. It's not news to them. It's nothing 'new.' But a lot of that is caused by fatherlessness in Black (and now every community, thanks to Obergefeld). That and the criminalization of owning/selling/buying marijuana by the Presidential administration of 1993-2001.

See, before Obergefeld happened, people were talking about the political issue all the time. But I did research, and the primary difference correlating from the redefinition of marriage was fatherlessness. Upwards of 30% on average. Though you may disagree, and life is messy, kids have a right to their biological mom and biological dad. In the 80s when I grew up, fatherlessness was a shameful thing. But it's not as stigmatized now.

The stigma should be on 'fathers' rather than their families/children. Now fatherlessness is more prevalent, and more devastating. 80% of kids in my area are raised by grandparents and foster parents.

My generation has completely failed its children. In a sense,those grandparents failed their children who failed their children. Again, life is messy, not pointing fingers. But this is where we are.

My generation was told a lie that 50% of marriages end in divorce. A lie from the devil, no real statistics involved, I later found out. But if I hadn't believed it, I and many others would be in thriving marriages today. The only real rate that approaches that is from nominal Christians, particularly men who claim the Name but don't practice he teachings of the Bible (or even know what it says). Do they know they're called to love their wives as Christ loved the church? Nope. Do they know to treat her with greater honor as the weaker vessel? Nope.

They hinder both their prayers and the prayers of their wives by their selfish, childish behavior. Now, women aren't entirely off the hook, too. They exhibit the same godlessness in many cases. But I'm preaching to men primarily. I pray God gets ahold of our nation. But particularly Alphas and 'Betas' who will look at the sins of their fathers and the previous generations and turn away from the demons that kicked our butts, and turn to the living God. Not AI. Not social justice. Because in terms of justice? We all deserve a cross in Hell drinking the full cup of God's wrath. No descendant of Adam is exempt from that. But God sent Jesus to give us an escape. To die in our place as the perfect Lamb of God, sacrificed in our place, as the propitiation for our sins, so we wouldn't have to go to Hell for all eternity. But if we reject Jesus or try to come to him on our terms, or deny him or reinvent him to fit our generation, we will have no escape.

'Today if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah," We only get so many opportunities to turn to Jesus. Like Noah and the ark. Those sinners could've walked into the ark for 120 years. But none did. Only Noah and his family did. Once the door closed on the ark, there were no more opportunities. Once God's mercy and justice closes the 'door' to salvation, that's it. And the wrath that comes upon that generation will be so much worse than the flood. People will foolishly hide in caves and holes in the ground to escape from God's wrath.

Whenever you see a rainbow, think about the preceding chapters. The global flood that wipes out 99.99999% of all life on earth. The offering of clean animals that gets God to pledge the covenant of which the rainbow is a sign (a pledge by God without anything on Noah/man’s side). And the raven having the biggest feast of human flesh ever, wandering back and forward between the ark and the bloated, floating corpses all over the waters.
